37 weeks 4 days (16 days to go!!)

Ok so I am counting down!!!!
Couple of things first, Had a lazed Anzac Day nothing too stressful!! Although we did remember and stop for those who fought for our country.

Also a HUGE congratualtions to Shontie on the birth of their beautiful baby boy a couple of weeks early, hanging to hear the birth story!!

Also with just over 2 weeks to go if you are interested in getting a guess in as to what sex, size etc the baby is go here

So I THINK!! all things are organised, Kai is organised for somewhere to go, originally I was thinking to get mum to met us at the hospital which is rather closer to them but on second thoughts I don't know how Kai would cope in the car with me for 40+ minutes labouring!!!! So my gorgeous girlfriends Bree and Lynne have put their hands up for a possible call through the night to come and get him!!!!!!!!!!
The cot is set up and the capsule is in the car!!! I have finally opened the nappy disposal unit and a bag of nappies OMG they are tiny tiny!!! and from memory they actually swam on Kai for a couple of weeks till he packed the weight on!!!!

I couldnt help myself again in Pumpkin Patch and had to get another unisex outfit!!!! I am thinking by the time we know the gender I am going to be well and truely over unisex stuff!!! It is all getting so exciting and I am mostly excited to find out if it is a boy or girl!!!! We have FINALLY chosen a name and like Kaitiaki it is a unisex name but I think I will wait to reveal it I am big on suspence huh!!! hehe

Not much else going on, still got an active baby and loads of braxton hicks this is my belly as of today 37 + weeks....

FACTS

Fetal size: crown-rump 35 cm (14 inches), crown-toe 47cm (21 inches). Fetal weight: 3.1 kg (6.8 pounds).

Your baby's head is now cradled in your pelvic cavity -- surrounded and protected by your pelvic bones. This position clears some much-needed space for her growing legs and buttocks.

Many babies now have a full head of hair, with locks maybe around one inch / 2.5 centimetres long. But don't be surprised if her hair isn't the same colour as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes taken aback when their children are born with bright red or blond hair, and fair-haired couples likewise can produce babies with dark hair. And then, of course, some babies don't have any hair at all.

Speaking of hair, most of the downy coat of lanugo that covered your baby from 26 weeks has disappeared, and so has most of the vernix caseosa, the whitish substance that also covers her. Your baby will swallow her lanugo and exterior coating, along with other secretions, and store them in her bowels. These will become your infant's first bowel movement, a blackish waste called meconium.

how do you pernounce the name?
Im loving the cute lil outfit. We didnt really have names officially chosen until the birth.

With our 1st we knew he was a boy... so that made it easy.
We were pretty sure on what we'd name him.

With our 2nd we didnt find out but everyone thought it was a girl because of the way I carried and the fact I was way smaller looking.

So we had a girl name narrowed down... but not really sure on a boy name...

Birth came...

"ITS A BOY!" yea.... haha I was shocked! but not at all disappointed.

The 1st thing when I saw him that came to mine was "Lil' Taite."
He was so tiny compared to my 1st.

So his name is Taite Ezekiel

Not to mention his 1st name is so easy to say my 2 yr old can say it ;-) thats a huge deal!

If you don't update again before the birth, all the best - I will be thinking of you!!

BABE - You look awesome!! You are looking fit and healthy and so so ready to have that gorgeous little bubs. I think it is gonna be a girl. One of each for you. Then you will have a girl of similar age to play with Sian when you come visit me in Rangoon!! I keep seeing that visit happening so I look forward to shaking my skinny butt with you at the Red Lion. LMAO, NOT!!

Good luck with it all and know that I am hanging out to see your wee addition and hearing what equally cool name you have come up with. Does it start with Wai?? Then you would have food and water! LMAO again at my own stupid jokes.

Hope all is well, just poppin in to check up. And .... I have done a post about a friend/pain in the arse of mine at the moment and after writing it I thought, "Damn, I hope I don't offend Mel in any way by what I have written" about my friend's "try hard Maori" ways. Please please please be assured that I am getting at her in particular and not anyone else who has named their child a Maori name. I love Kaitiaki's name and I love you to bits (from what I know) and I just want you to know that it is a one-person specific rant and not directed at anyone else. Ok, hope you are well.
